I’ll make it for you now, you’re done.

What is wrong with people?

Prayers out to Mr. Graham.

Today’s news-Tuesday Nov. 29, 2011

I’ve been asking this for awhile now.

Character matters. If these rumors are true, I’m done with him.

Yeah, this guy isn’t scary at all.

No commentary needed.

Yep, they mean peace over there.

I would recommend that before anyone drags the occupiers away they make sure all of their shots are up to date.

Good story of the day.

Something You Should……See

If you’re interested in education this documentary is a good one.

Here is the trailer. Enjoy.

Today’s episode is brought to you by the letters WTF!?!

Why do I feel like there’s a Tickle Me Elmo joke somewhere in here?

FY2012 Education Budget

When will we learn that throwing money at something does NOT always make it better? I realize that this is a “hot button” issue which you can quickly get in trouble discussing (trust me, I know).

Today’s News-Nov. 25 2011

Here are a few stories worth noting today.

To thoughts. 1) I’d make a Muslim joke right now but someone may get their undies in a bunch. 2) See yesterday’s G. Washington Thanksgiving address.

European ( I said “peeing”) crisis.

Nice to meet you Jesus, my name is Shirley Temple.

I put my head in the sand for two minutes and look what happens.

Interesting fact here is that in 1930 19% of all food was produced at home.

I hope he’s not the nominee. He has been part of the problem plus as S.E. Cupp has said, “he’s kind of a terrible person”.

Here’s another problem the world seems to be turning a blind eye to.

Star Spangled Banner

There seems to be a problem nowaday’s with people performing the National Anthem. More specifically, knowing the words. So I have decided to provide a service. I will provide the lyrics for anyone to learn ahead of time. No more excuses for you Christina, nor you Cyndi Lauper nor you American Idol contestant Lauren Alaina.

The Star Spangled Banner

Oh, say! can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming;
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:
Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In fully glory reflected now shines in the stream:
‘Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh, long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution!
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Oh, thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust”:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

George Washington’s 1789 Thanksgiving Day Proclamation

WHEREAS it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favour; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me “to recommend to the people of the United States a DAY OF PUBLICK THANSGIVING and PRAYER, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”

NOW THEREFORE, I do recommend and assign THURSDAY, the TWENTY-SIXTH DAY of NOVEMBER next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed;– for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish Constitutions of government for our sasety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted;– for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge;– and, in general, for all the great and various favours which He has been pleased to confer upon us.

And also, that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions;– to enable us all, whether in publick or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us); and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

GIVEN under my hand, at the city of New-York, the third day of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-nine.

Today’s News

No one has a problem with this? Really? What happened to all of those who were complaining about having their library records watched? Hypocrites.

If these nut jobs took a second to stop and think about all the harm they’ve done they’d pack up their tents, granola, iPad’s and molotov cocktails and go home.

Ooohhh. That’s probably not good.

Thin Skinned !@#%*&!

I’ve started up this blog to replace my musings on Facebook. I realize not everyone likes my posts or likes what I have to say. Instead of taking the easy route and deleting me as a friend or blocking me, people would whine. I finally got tired of it. SO, I will now put up my rantings and news stories here instead. If you don’t want to hear what I have to say then it’s up to you to stay away from this blog. Feel free to comment. I encourage you to do so. I enjoy it. If you want to print off things I have to say and “tattle” on me to the school, or city employees or my boss or anyone else feel free but do so knowing you are a petty little person who doesn’t know how to express your point of view so you stoop to childish games to get your way. I mean seriously, who does that? Other than my 5 and 7 year old.
